We are going to learn about a handy little tool in Windows 7 called Snipping Tool. It is a tool to do screen captures of things you are working on and being able to embed them into different documents. The best part about the tool is that you can capture just small parts of your screen and not have to worry about editing and cropping (although that really isn't that hard). What we are going to working on is creating a document that is going to be important so years to come at Schutz. Right now you are all the highest trained and functional students at Schutz using Weebly. All teachers use Weebly, however, there are some who do not know all the features and abilities of it! What we are going to be doing is creating a help file, using screen captures to build up the document so people can follow along with the file. Now, this isn't just a project that will never be used. The top 5 documents will be kept on Falcon for teachers present and future to use while setting up their Weebly sites. Also, new students and students who aren't as technologically awesome as you guys will be using it too. So, make is amazing. Document everything. I will be showing you some ideas and updating what you need to have later in the week.
We also have 5 blogs for the week, but I am changing the date and format a little. We will start on Sunday and I will mark them Friday morning before I post grades. This will make it easier to manage. Remember, new Quarter with higher expectations. You need to increase the volume of your blogging (some people). Check out the blogs links from last week to see what I mean. Pretend you are having a conversation with someone, only wecan only see your side of the conversation. You will need to have 1 on the class, 1 on a LINKED Google Reader story, 1 on Technology (another class or tech news) and 2 personal. I am going to be marking these a little harder, so make them extra good and take your time finishing them off. You will have at least some time every class to complete them.
